The short version
- A website has four cost lines: the build, the domain, hosting and ongoing care. Ask every quote to list all four.
- A fixed-price custom 5-page WordPress site is ₱15,000 for Philippine clients: five pages, mobile-ready, live in 5 days.
- The cheapest quote is rarely the cheapest site. Hidden extras, slow hosting and locked-in builders are where budgets leak.
If you have asked three developers what a website costs in the Philippines, you probably got three very different answers. That is normal. Some quotes include hosting and content, some do not, and some are priced per page while others are priced per project. This guide breaks the cost into parts so you can compare quotes on equal terms.
The figures below are indicative. Domain and hosting prices change by provider and by season, and exchange rates move daily, so treat them as a planning guide and confirm current prices before you commit.
The four cost lines of any website
1. The build
This is the one-time fee for designing and building the pages. It is the biggest line and the one that varies most. A custom theme built for your brand costs more than a template with your logo dropped in, but it usually loads faster and is easier to grow.
2. Your domain name
A .com domain typically costs in the region of US$10 to US$20 a year, and a .ph domain is priced separately by its registrars. Always register the domain in your own name so you keep control of it.
3. Hosting
Hosting is the server that keeps your site online. Entry-level shared hosting is often a few hundred pesos a month, with managed WordPress plans costing more. Choose a host with data centres near your visitors (Singapore is close to the Philippines) because distance affects speed.
4. Ongoing care
WordPress, themes and plugins need updates, and you need backups. Some developers include a month of support, others sell care plans. Decide who is responsible before launch, not after something breaks.
| Cost line | One-time or recurring | What to ask |
|---|---|---|
| Build | One-time | Is the price fixed? How many pages and revisions are included? |
| Domain | Yearly | Is it registered in my name, and who holds the login? |
| Hosting | Monthly or yearly | Where is the server, and are backups included? |
| Care and updates | Monthly or on demand | Who updates the site, and what does an emergency fix cost? |
What ₱15,000 gets you
The Express Launch for the Philippines is a custom 5-page WordPress website for a fixed ₱15,000, live in 5 days. The price is set in pesos, so it does not move with the exchange rate.
The Express Launch covers the website build only. Domain and hosting are separate, so you keep ownership of both. Five pages is enough for most small businesses: Home, About, Services, Contact and one more such as Portfolio, Menu or FAQ.
Five red flags in a website quote
- No itemised list. If you cannot see what the price includes, you cannot compare it.
- Page-builder lock-in. Ask what happens to the site if you leave the developer. A standard WordPress theme can be moved. A proprietary builder often cannot.
- Hosting bundled at a high monthly rate. Fine if the service is good, but make sure you can export your site.
- Unlimited revisions with no end date. This usually means the project never finishes. Agree a clear number of revision rounds instead.
- No mention of mobile. Most Philippine web traffic is on phones, so a site that is only checked on desktop is half finished.
How to keep the cost down without cutting quality
- Prepare your text and photos before the build starts. Waiting for content is the most common cause of delay and extra cost.
- Start with five pages and add more once the site earns its keep.
- Use a lightweight custom theme so you do not pay for plugins that duplicate built-in features.
- Keep your own domain and hosting accounts so you can change developers without losing the site.
Your next step
Write down the pages you need, the one action you want visitors to take (call, message or buy), and your budget. Then ask two or three developers to quote against the same list. If you want a fixed price in pesos terms, see the Philippines package or compare all packages.
Quick answers
Is ₱15,000 really enough for a custom website?
For a focused 5-page site, yes. The price reflects a clear scope: five pages on a lightweight custom theme, using content you provide. Larger sites, shops and custom plugins are quoted separately.
Do I pay in dollars or pesos?
Philippine clients are quoted in pesos: ₱15,000 for the Express Launch. Confirm the accepted payment methods when you book.
Who owns the website after launch?
You do. The site runs on standard WordPress under your domain and hosting accounts, so you can move it or hire anyone to maintain it.
